Mozilla Firefox is a free and open source web browser that is managed by Mozilla Corporation. Mozilla Thunderbird is a free, open source, cross-platform e-mail and news client developed by the Mozilla Foundation. The DoD Firefox & Thunderbird Add-ons extend each of these applications to streamline and simplify your DoD and Forge.mil experiences. Visit this page for DOD Configuration tool
You need to have the proper certificates installed on your computer to watch encrypted video. Your browser must trust these DOD-issued certificates or else you may get an error or simply not see the player at all.
- Import a DoD Root CA Certificate (preferred). Add an exception for the web site (Mozilla Firefox only) or create a Trusted Site (IE only). While adding an exception is the faster, easier process, you might have to repeat the process for multiple protected DoD web sites.
- Navigate to 6dod.zip to download a p7b bundle of DoD certificates. Right-click(or control + click, if right-click not enabled) the file, Open With Archive Utility. You should now have a folder in.
Aside from installing middleware, you need to download and import the DoD Root and Intermediate Certificates in your Keychain Access. Most of the DoD certificates are available if you add the 'SystemCACertificates' keychain using the File Add Keychain option and navigating through the folders to Macintosh HD System Library Keychains.
